In this week’s Edina Sun Current, reporter Katie Mintz has an article titled Edina launches website for public input.
As cities launch Twitter accounts and Facebook pages, Edina is taking its social media presence to the next level.
The city hosted its first live online chat Wednesday, June 29, on a new website aimed at getting input on important, near-term issues.
Edina City Manager Scott Neal said discussion on EdinaCitizenEngagement.org would help keep community members informed and city leaders make decisions.
So far, the three topics being addressed in blog posts on the website are economic development at Southdale Center, the 2012 budget and the Grandview District small area planning process.

Excellent launch of a new and exciting way to interact with our local government. As mentioned in the article, GrandView Small Area Plan Process is up and running as well. Lots of information regarding the vision for the area in the years to come.
Thanks, Chris. I’m pleased that the GrandView Small Area Plan Process is ‘engaged’ here!
