Grandview sessions, Phase 2: you are invited

Grandview District Phase 2 press releaseThe schedule has been set for Phase 2 of the GrandView Small Area Plan (press release PDF). Let me provide some direction as you read it.

As I stated in a prior blog post, there are a lot of moving parts so sometimes it can be confusing if you have not followed this issue from stem to stern. The most important:

  • First, the public is welcome at any or all events. I think that it is important to state that up front, because every meeting, every decision, every concept, every debate has been driven by public input.
  • If you know nothing about this process and want the quickest update, your time might best be spent at the Open House on Thursday Oct 27th at 6:00PM.
  • If you have a demographic profile which matches the numerous focus groups, your time might best spent with us on Tuesday Oct. 25 during the focus group meetings.
  • If you have specific experience in a variety of areas (see the press release), your time might best spent signing up for our “Professional/Personal Experiences” meetings. Contact Kevin or me for the details.

(The above reminds me of Jeff Foxworthy’s You Might Be a Redneck If… gig.)

We are passionate about what is going to happen in the GrandView District, so please join us to help shape the future. Decisions are made when people show up!

Sharp-eyed readers might wonder what happened to the schedule for Wed. Oct. 26 that was mentioned in an earlier blog post.

It’s actually still on but the schedule is dedicated to meetings with the steering committee and consulting team. If you’re interested in attending, you’re certainly welcome. The meetings will be held at the Hughes Pavilion (AKA the Centrum Building) at Centennial Lakes Park. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact Chris Rofidal or Kevin Staunton.
