Sports Dome Study Work Group gets going

Ann KattrehI’m Ann Kattreh, manager of Edina’s Edinborough Park, and I’m  the lead staff person on the new Sports Dome Study Work Group.

City Manager Scott Neal attended our second meeting to give us a little clarification of our mission and to introduce us to our new blog site.

Edina Sports dome study group meetingAt their first meeting (8-18-11), Park Board members requested a web site to provide a transparent view of the processes they are utilizing, the steps they are taking and the information they are collecting to make educated and informed decisions about the need, feasibility and possible location for an indoor athletic facility.

This Indoor Athletic Facility blog site will work great for communicating valuable information. The Park Board has been given a big challenge and a relatively short amount of time to make some important recommendations.

Watch this site for information and updates.  (You can also keep updated by following Edina Citizen Engagement on Twitter,  subscribing to the weekly e-newsletter, or subscribing to this blog’s RSS feed.)
